Your PEOPLES Community Credit Union membership gives you something you can't get from a bank: OWNERSHIP! That's a fundamental difference between banks and credit unions.
Another fundamental difference: we are a not-for-profit organization. As a member-owned, not-for-profit finanacial cooperative, our earnings are returned to members in the form of low cost loans, high yield dividend accounts, and free or low cost services. When profit is removed as a motivating force, attention is shifted to the best interest of the membership. Our focus is not on profit, but on service and efficiency.
As member/owners, we all have a stake in the credit union's success. The better your credit union does, the better you do. When it is time to borrow, make a savings investment, or open a checking account, please remember, as an owner you play a vital role in your credit union's success. Membership to PEOPLES Community Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Hopkins, St. Louis Park and Minnetonka.

Family
Credit union membership is open to all of your family members. Your spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandchildren, grandparents, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, cousins, uncles, aunts, domestic partners, adoptive relationships, and anyone living in your household can become members once you become a member.

Membership remains open even if you move, change employers or retire.

HOW DO I JOIN?

Membership is free. The first account you open is a Share Savings Account. Your initial deposit of $5.00 minimum represents your "member share" and makes it possible for you to have full access to the many benefits of membership and a vote at our annual meeting.

WHERE CAN I JOIN?

Stop by the credit union and complete an account card. We are located at 1541 Highway 7, Hopkins, MN 55305. No appointment is necessary. Photo identification (valid MN Drivers License or MN State ID) and proof of eligibility is required to open the account.

LIFETIME BENEFITS

Members enjoy lifetime benefits, as long as you are a member in good standing and your membership account remains open. Whether you move, change employers or retire, you are still entitled to enjoy the valuable financial products and services of membership.
